CRAFTED Extreme Hold Matte Paste
Extreme Hold Matte Paste is a one of a kind unique product that is the easiest to scoop and apply which then transforms to an extreme holding matte finish paste once applied to the hair.
Directions:
Scoop a small amount (fingers scoop or less) out and lightly work into your hands and fingers. For best results do not work the product into your hands until you see nothing. Apply it to the hair in it's creamy consistency so the product can absorb into the hair and lock the hold in place.
*Due to this being a home brewed product, the consistency may be a bit inconsistent or the product may have shifted in the jar while shipping. You may also experience some clumping which can be broken down by hand. This was a very unique and difficult product to make so we thank you for your support.

Came in to this product with high hopes, wanting something with high hold to stop my hair from curling in on itself immediately in the summer. On that front it works, but I think my jar may have been a bad batch? The scent is…not accurate? It doesn’t smell like the description, and my wife said my hair smelled like cigarettes. I want to rate this a 5 because of how it works, but yea the scent is not there, which is surprising because the 35 spray and blow dry cream I got smell amazing.

I finally found a product that I could use straight after towel drying and would instantly give me volume and strong yet pliable hold without using a hair dryer. The smell is as good as any other and the container is huge and would last forever! You could also use it as a pre-styler for more volume and hold.......just make sure you use a small amount.

It’s good for me
Through 20mph winds, a bit of drizzle, and a bit of sneezing.....my hair stayed in place the entire day. I never once had to work my hands through it. I'm used to always having to find a brush or fingercomb because the weather would always take away the form or neatness of the styling after a couple of hours. I was left very impressed with this paste. One of the reasons why I never bothered much with having a loose style is because it'd look terrible as soon as I'd leave the house. I'd always need something to give it texture and hold. This paste is thick but very creamy and smooth to apply. Doesn't tug or pull out loose strands. Great product for keeping that hair in place throughout the day.

Decent cent that reminds me of a salon so I guess it fits the brand. It’s not very strong so I don’t smell it after application. I use a small amount as a pre-styler so after blow drying it already looks great. I use another small amount to really add some more hold and I’m set for the day. Great stuff and so far it’s replaced my northern lights and nevermore. My only complaint is the container. The lid is ever so slightly larger than the bottom so I feel the edge when I open or close it. Not a big deal at all but I much prefer an amber plastic jar over this.

This product absolutely blew me away. I have tried countless high end hair products from all the brands we know and love over the years and nothing has as many boxes on my checklist as this product. It’s truly the only product labeled as “extreme hold” that is actually accurate and doesn’t harden/stiffen up. I have extremely course wavy/curly thick blonde hair and nothing has ever been this effective at smoothing out my waves and giving structure to my insanely unmanageable hair. I have the worst bed head but the hold literally lasts overnight (unmatched endurance) and feels great in the hair. I could go on and on for hours about all the things I love about this product but ultimately Stephen and Wade absolutely killed it and have sold me on the entire line, just bought the 25 leave in, power cream, clutch clay, and vented brush and I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

This hair gel exceeded expectations. Wet it a TINY bit and your hair is held in place and still feels soft when fingers are run through it. It's a stronger hold without any real penalty (unless you glob it on like any other product). Big thumbs up - recommended.

CRAFTED Extreme Hold Matte is really an excellent hair solution. It is a unique product in that it is extremely easy to work with yet has a very strong hold. I am an individual with very coarse, thick hair that has many cowlicks and most of the styling products I have used over the years that work for my hair are difficult to work with, pasty, and don't have a strong enough hold. Not the case with CRAFTED Extreme Hold! Smooth, creamy, maximum hold, and nice on the nose with a classy scent, this is the bomb. Great stuff.

I've only used quality products (organic paste, wax, pomades etc) and this one is the most expensive one yet BUT! You ge what you paid for, right? I would buy this one over and over again! It's the best one and trusted me, I still use other ones that youtubers promote or make for us. The smell is awesome, the texture is solid but it breaks down so easily and the hold is the best hold you can imagine on a product like this. I recommend this 100%

The Crafted Matte Paste works really well. High hold and lasting performance/longevity through the day. You have to work it into your hair and style quickly because it gets pretty sticky once it starts to dry. Also, the cologne scent smells nice, but is very strong and lingers all day. So, if you have scent allergies like I do you may want to consider another TSG product that isn’t so strong smelling. My main issue is not the product itself, but the shipping speed. Specifically, the time it took from placing my order to TheSalonGuy actually shipping my item...4 full days 🙁. This has happened to me twice now and I don’t recommend ordering TheSalonGuy products direct. Use Amazon or FleekFellows.com as they are not only faster, but also offer the products for 10%-20% cheaper.

Great very good hold and nice matte effect on sun. Crafted has hold better than any others matte paste I think. This one has an feminine scent but overall the quality and performance is far way better. Doesnt dries out on hair, has no tough to pull or comb hair. You can restyle. Great matte paste

I have short thick course unruly dense hair that can go wavy and whacky without notice (I'm female) . This product helps hold without taking forever to dry. Other products tend to keep my hair wet and I already live in FL!! Perfect hold with definition for me. I apply to semi wet hair and let the product soak in. I can't let my hair dry 1st with any product... It will frizz out and have no texture. Works excellent for me. I love it.

This is by far the best hair product I have ever used. This product has great hold without making my hair feel hard and stiff. It definitely has a matte finish but what I love the best about the product is the texture and thickness it gives and how easy it is to apply. Scent is also amazing. On a side note, I jus received the new updated formula and I must say the consistency and thickness of the product is great. Thank you Stephen for creating such an awesome styling product.

A very decent matt paste for thick hair.If u apply the product in the right way then only u can get benefit from this. Pros: -Good hold and control -Decent volume and endurance - Some healthy ingredients to condition the hair - Simple and clean packaging Cons: Scent only.I personally do not like the scent. Also its 113g product so it will last for couple of months around 5/6 month(approx) After pre game wax past..... this is my new favorite now. Still better than most of the utuber and home brew product. Good job Mr.salonguy.

This has really grown on me once I discovered using it as a pre-styler. Excellent natural look and feel, handles wind/humidity and provides excellent hold. Has become my go to due to its versatility. Truly a different product when applied dry/wet/pre-style so have to experiment. Love the conditioning effects and my hair feels and looks great. Has replaced Morris motley/by Vilain products in my arsenal. Has better hold with being lighter and not greasy.

I saw a youtube video by Modern Man about this product so I figured why not give it a review. I normally use heavy Clay's like Claymation, Cavalier Clay by Bluemann, and Silver Fox and Gold Diggger by Siilkhaar tv. Crafted, In my opinion has the strongest hold out of all the products I mentioned. However, there are 2 cons: -Smell....if you are sensitive to scent this might not be the product for you....the sent took me by surprise and reminds me of my mom's make-up....btw and I'm 40. -packaging...the product is a soft cream so when I first opened the tub cream was everywhere due the shift in shipment...it would have been awesome to have another cover you can peel off to get to the product Again this is just me nit-picking this product is great. I use pre-stylers with all my products...in this picture I used Label M thickening tonic...blow dryer...and crafter by the salon guy...hope you enjoy....cheers!

I love how easy this product wears on my slightly thick medium length asian hair! It glistens in the sun with a slight matte finish yet gives enough hold and movement to last me an entire, although the hold does diminish at night, it lasts a good 8-10 hours and that is more than enough for me to look great throughout the day. What a product this is and I highly recommend this product with anyone with a slightly longer length hair and I look forward to styling my hair every morning.

For me, doesn’t live up to the description. Hold starts out high and within hours hair turns dry and flat, hold is medium at best with my thinner type hair. Does not add fullness or hardly any texture. Next day product is hardly noticeable (unlike advertised). Loved the scent/application but it‘s not a standalone product and useless when not combined with other products.

The easiest, most user friendly styling paste ever created! Application is a breeze it doesn't pull out your hair. Goes in like butter ! Gives great volume, texture, bounciness, shape, and it'll hold the style for literally 2 days LOL Even after the gym, when my hair is wet, I'll put it in place, and once it dries, it'll look like I just blow-dried it!! Crazy awesome ! The scent is wonderful and the wash out couldn't be easier.. Just a water rinse ! This is THE WORLD CHAMPION of all hair pastes / clays / waxes! Like, it's not hype.. It's truly freaking amazing! I have tried and used clutch xl, Pre-game from the Salon guy line, they're both great products. I tried about 8 different famous pastes, waxes & clays from famous home brew companies, which were all awesome too, I tried a bunch of high-end products, big name brands etc.. but man, this Crafted Matte Paste, truly beats the heck out of everything that's out on the market! The scent is complex, yet soft and super nice, nothing overpowering. The consistency of this product is like a wet lotion.. Super unique! It applies like butter! No pool nor tug whatsoever! I have used this in 4 ways. 1) as a pre-styler, just a tiny pinch applied to damp hair, then blow-dried gives phenomenal volume, thickness and texture to the hair! And I don't need more product, it'll last the whole day while remaining flowy and keeping that same shape. 2) as a post styler. 1 to maybe 2 pea size amount will give me big volume, great texture, hair thickness and all day hold! 3) pre and post styler. Now this way, it'll cement your style for over a day haha .. but in a good way where, your hair will remain soft and smooth, but with crazy texture, customizable volume and mega hold. 4) I even used a tiny pinch in slightly damp hair, and it created a great style, with good texture and once dry, it'll look mostly matte with really high hold. This is the easiest, most user friendly hair styling product I have ever used! It's super versatile, you can pretty much do whatever you want, anyway you want, and your hair will look freaking awesome for the whole day (and even next day lol) I actually have no idea how a product this smooth, so easy to apply, gives such TREMENDOUS holding power! AND, it literally rinses out with just warm water! Like what the heck? Was this made on an alien planet or something? Cuz I sure as hell have never seen something this badass and easy to use! Another home run! A single scoop of this product is strong enough to keep my thick, coarse hair in place for 12+ hours while maintaining a weightless feel in the hair, a matte (but not dry) finish, and great clay-like texture. With its creamy consistency, it scoops and applies like butter but begins to set after only a few seconds and then that extreme hold kicks in. Within about 30 seconds I can have my final style in place, and my hair stays pliable all day should I ever want to re-style or change things around. Washes out effortlessly with just water too, and top it all off with an unbelievable complex scent. Hands down the best performing matte paste I have used to date.
